Book Recs for April 17

Hello! It’s been a while since I’ve rec’d some books, but here we go. In random order:

When All the World Sleeps by Lisa Henry & J.A. Rock is the first book I’ve read by this writing duo and I wasn’t disappointed. Gritty, dark, angsty as hell, the story of sleepwalker Daniel Whitlock and Joe ‘Bel’ Belman is a powerful one. In their small town, Daniel’s reputation as a murderer of the man who almost beat him to death always keeps him apart from everyone else. When Bel saves Daniel from a fire set in revenge, they find a tenuous connection. Bel is the only person who doesn’t look at Daniel like he’s worthless and when Daniel actually manages to sleep Bel finds he’s not what he appears.

There is explicit violence in this book, so it’s not for the faint of heart.

When All the World Sleeps is from Riptide Publishing.

Collide by Riley Hart is one of the tried and true tropes I love to read of friends to lovers. As kids when Noah and Cooper collided while playing football, they became the best of friends. After their friendship was torn apart when Noah’s family unexpectedly left town, Cooper was left behind wondering what had become of his best friend. Years later when Noah returns to their small town, they quite literally collide again. Watching Cooper realize he has feelings for his former best friend while Noah tries to push his down to preserve their friendship kept me reading through the night.

You can find Collide at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and the usual suspects.

I’m a huge fan of L.A. Witt but until I read Guarded, I hadn’t read a collab between Witt and Cat Grant. I wasn’t disappointed as this isn’t your usual BDSM story. Rock stars, addiction, BDSM oh my. Jordan Kane is a world famous rockstar with a need for kink who finds a kindred spirit in his bodyguard, sadist Jase Hewitt. This book is edgy, hot and if you’re a fan of schmexytimes with a good dose of kink this one might be for you. Check it out.

You can find Collide at Amazon, Barnes and Noble and the usual suspects.

That’s all for now folks. Happy reading!
